Why Therapy?

Sometimes called psychotherapy, talk therapy, or treatment, individual counseling is a process through which clients share their struggles and work through solutions with me in a confidential environment.

Therapy allows individuals to…

  • explore their feelings, beliefs, and behaviors

  • work through challenging or influential memories

  • identify aspects of their lives that they would like to change

  • better understand themselves and others

  • set personal goals

  • work toward desired change

Concerns addressed include:

  • anxiety

  • depression

  • life transitions

  • trauma

  • relationships/attachment

  • self-compassion and perfectionism

  • identity

Food and Body Therapy

I conduct eating disorder treatment through using a variety of evidence-based modalities to address thoughts, emotions, and behaviors related to the relationship between food, body, and self.

Treatment is conducted with an intuitive eating/non-diet Health at Every Size informed approach.

Concerns addressed can include:

  • eating disorder recovery

  • self-worth and body image

  • emotional eating

  • support with mindful/intuitive eating
